Objectives
Sow and grow approximately 13,600 seedlings for outplanting in FY2014 (Purdy Unit 16). The original funding request was to sow and grow for FY2014; the nursery used $9600 from FHP for FY2013 whitebark sow and grow bill for planting part of unit 3e instead of unit 16, as originally planned.

Summer 2011: Conduct pre-planting surveys to determine unplantable ground
September 2011:
1- Calculate percent unplantable ground,
2- Calculate number of trees needed based on unplantable ground
3- Order seedlings from nursery.
Winter 2011-2012: Obligate funds to nursery
Outplanting 7300 trees in unit 3e in FY2013.
Planting? If so, source of seedlings? Resistance?
Yes; UNIONPASS09; seed was collected from an area of known resistance according to Mahalovich 110-seed source study. Seed orchard for the GYA is not yet producing rust-resistant seed.
